Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled AV Support Engineer to provide on-site technical support for audio-visual systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AV technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality support to clients and internal teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site support for AV systems, including setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Install, test, and calibrate AV equipment, such as projectors, sound systems, video conferencing systems, and control systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with AV systems, ensuring minimal downtime during events or meetings.
  • Collaborate with clients, event coordinators, and internal teams to ensure AV requirements are met for meetings, presentations, and events.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on the operation of AV systems.
  • Document technical issues and solutions, and provide feedback to the AV team for continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and recommend upgrades or new solutions as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Audio-Visual Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as an AV Support Engineer, AV Technician, or in a similar technical role.
  • Strong understanding of AV systems, including audio mixers, microphones, projectors, video conferencing systems, and control systems.
  • Proficiency with AV software and programming languages (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Q-SYS).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve technical issues quickly.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to lift and move AV equipment as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), Crestron, or AMX certifications.
  • Experience in providing AV support in [specific environments, e.g., corporate, healthcare, education].
  • Familiarity with network systems and IT infrastructure as they relate to AV technology.
  • Experience with video production and editing software is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • This is an on-site position, requiring the ability to travel to client locations or different facilities as needed. The role may involve working in various environments, including conference rooms, auditoriums, and event spaces.
